IRC commands





This are mIRC Chat commands, which will work with the most IRC Clients.

/
Show the last entered row.

/!

Run the last entered command.

/join #channel

Enter the assigned Channel.

/join #channel key
Enter a keyword protected Channel.

/part #channel
Leave the assigned Channel.

/partall
Enter this mIRC command to leave all channel.

/list
This command shows all channels on the server.

/quit
Disconnect with all server.

/quit text
Leave a text behind the /quit command and it will appear as your "Quit-Message" in every open channel.

/away nachricht
Set your nick to "away-mode". To cancel away mode type: /away, again.

/nick new_nick
This command changes your nickname.

/me text
To send an action massage place "/me" with "he" or "she", in your mind. As result, your nick will display, instead of /me .

/action text
Send an action massage in the active window or Channel.

/msg channel text
This command sends a massage to the assigned Channel. So you can write a massage to a close Channel. Succesful transfer is required Chanmode +n, set for the Channel.

/amsg text
Send a massage to every open Channel.

/ame text
The same effect like /amsg, but instead a massage, an action massage will be send.

/msg nick
Send a massage to the assigned user

/notice nick nachricht
Send a notice to a user.

/notice channel nachricht
Send a notice to the assigned Channel.

/clear
Clear the active screen.

/clearall
Clear all screens.

/whois nick
Get some information about the user.

/who nick
Shows all possible information about the user. So, the user must be in the same Channel.

/whowas nick
Shows a list, with information about the time, the user was online.

/ignore nick
Helps to ingnore bothering people. Whatever the ignored User says, his text won't display.

/query nick
Enter a private chatroom Chat with the user.

/names #name of the room
Constructed a list with all names of users in the active Channel.
